MIDI sampling is finally here
Introducing reMIDI 2, a continuation of reMIDI, which allows you to take MIDI sampling to a new level thanks to new features. reMIDI 2 is a MIDI effect plugin that samples musical notes from MIDI files, which allows you to quickly find, slice, shift keys and stretch samples in time and match them with the controller.
reMIDI 2 is a plug—in instrument capable of outputting both MIDI and audio. A simple sinusoidal synthesizer sound is built in for scratching, so you can quickly find a loop to export as a MIDI file entirely inside it.
The idea is to run other tools via reMIDI, and how this is configured depends on the host's DAW. For VST hosts (for example, Ableton Live), reMIDI is loaded as an instrumental plug-in to a MIDI track, the output of which is sent to the second track (on which the target instrument is placed) using the DAW routing system.
